Chers étudiants et amis de L'École Française (LéF),
To ensure that each of you has an enjoyable and fulfilling experience, our classes will be limited from a minimum of 5 up to a maximum of 10 participants. We will strictly adhere to the registration policies outlined in this section and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
WHAT IS MY LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION?
Your proficiency level must be determined prior to registering for a course.
- If you have never studied French before (formal course/academic training), you may register for LEVEL 1 (for Complete Beginners- course codes 101) .
- If you have studied French before, please complete our free online assessment evaluation(s) (website => home page => placement tests). We will recommend the best level of instruction for you.
REFUNDS / CLASS CREDITS POLICIES: You may eligible to ...
- a FULL refund or a FULL class credit (100% of class tuition) if L’École Française cancels a class due to insufficient registration or if you cancel 14 days prior to the beginning of the session.
- a PARTIAL refund or a PARTIAL CREDIT (50% of class tuition) if you cancel 7 days prior to the beginning of the session.
- After the beginning of final registration week and /or after the first class whether attended or not, tuition cannot be refunded nor credited. Please note that class tuition can be refunded within the same session only.
WHAT IF THE COURSE I WANT TO REGISTER FOR IS FULL? (WAIT LIST)
- If the course you would like to sign up for is full, you may join the WAIT LIST in case another participant drops or transfer classes. If a spot opens up, we will send you a notification to sign up valid for 24 hours only.
- If we do have sufficient participants on a waiting list (a minimum of 5 is required), we will do our best to create an additional course on the same day and at the same time the original class is offered.
WHAT IF THE CLASS I WANT TO REGISTER FOR DOES NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT ENROLLMENT?
- Unfortunately, we will have to cancel the class. In this particular case, we will try to recommend another course of the same level for you. If a class you signed up for is cancelled or full, private tutoring can be another option.
- In case of a class cancellation, you will receive a full refund or a full credit for the next session if no other class substitution recommendations or private tutoring are appropriate options for you.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT MAY I USE?
- You may pay online (Credit card - Stripe)
- You may pay in person by credit card. Our office also accepts checks or cash.
WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS?
- Since we limit our classes to 10 participants, since most our classes are full, due to last-minute requests and due to too many no-shows unfortunately, we will not provide this service anymore.
- WE DO NOT OFFER MAKE-UP CLASSES ANYMORE! If you miss a class, you may attend it virtually via Zoom or go over your answers along with the ansker key we have provided.
WORKSHOP SESSIONS (2-week sessions), CULTURAL EVENTS or OPEN HOUSE & FREE TRIALL CLASS SESSIONS
- A minimum of 5 participants is required /10 maximum per class
- Please note that there are NO make-ups, NO transfers, NO refunds UNLESS workshops/events are cancelled by LéF due to insufficient registration.
- Thank you for your understanding!
