Chicago may be known as an international city because of its plethora of world cuisineundefinedbut if you’re looking to get your culture on in a different way, the Windy City offers a world view that extends far beyond food.
Located in the heart of Lakeview, L’Ecole Française (or The French School for us ‘Murricans) provides Chicago Francophiles a chance to expand their knowledge of the French language in a relaxed yet challenging atmosphere.
CEO and instructor Erwan Sorel and his colleague, Nicolas Ségaud, make it their mission to provide a dynamic and varied experience for students. Both native speakers of French origin, Sorel and Ségaud have over 10 years of teaching experience and an unwavering dedication to working closely with each student to ensure success. Their friendly, enthusiastic teaching style engages even the most self-conscious student to stop worrying about potential mistakes and find confidence in his or her French-speaking ability.
Additionally, the eight student limit in each class guarantees you’ll get plenty of individual attention. You won’t learn French by rote hereundefinedinstead, you’ll leave each class with a richer understanding of how to use your language skills in a practical setting that extends well beyond the classroom.
If that’s not enough, get a little extra practice when you join LEF for the special holiday events and various soirees held for students. Classes are ultra-affordable, at $250 for each 9-week session (includes one class per week for an hour and forty minutes). Beginners can start at the most basic level and continue up to high proficiency. Topics range from refresher courses to general conversation courses and special topics like French cinema.
